SEEKER (CHILD OF WANDS)

SEEKER (CHILD OF WANDS)

Today, I led a whole day intuitive "workshop" and my card for the day was the Seeker, a child finding his/her way through the mysteries and magic of the "path." As a "seeker," I was seeking the best way that the participants would get the intuitive way.  My intuition said release the workshop format and make it into an experience, which is the very best way to understand anything.  (FYI... that's why the Major Arcana V Buddha Hierophant Teacher walks the earth barefoot – to learn from walking on the earth and its lessons; walking the talk to know the way).

A seeker is an explorer, scout of a new way, so we spent the day doing various intuitive explorations.  As the teacher and supposed "authority" on intuition, I was a actually just a seeker, trying this out and trying that out – the trial and error way of the Fool Child.  At one point I had this spontaneous impulse to divide the participants into the four animals, each person determining whether they and others see themselves as a Beaver, Dolphin, Owl or Butterfly.  Then, the assignment was for each of these animal groupings to come up with recommendations for how they would contribute to the creation and growth of a business.

This gathering, in a spontaneous and natural way, created a fictitious consulting business called The Feel Good Company.  (The "owl" group was the majority of the room and led off first, which is why we became a human potential endeavor).  The healer, communicator, team player Dolphins loved this vision and swam along with the Owls.  The two Butterflies were ecstatic and knew they could market and publicize this kind of enlightenment company. And the doer-Beavers were on board to just do, achieve, and make it happen!

In such a swift and effortless way, a "million dollar" idea was born, not to say this is actually going to happen.  The point is that by the taking intuition into action in a fun, upbeat, supportive environment of like-minded and like-hearted souls, great things can result without laborious planning (BTW... investors in new business ideas these days never look at a candidate's business plan.  Financial projections are a joke to the investors, "prediction fiction," as I say).

At the end of the day, everyone picked a card from the facedown deck for what they got out of the experience.  Mine was the Seeker!  You gotta' believe.  You just can't make this stuff up.

PLAYER (CHILD OF WORLDS)

Today is a play day! Because it's a religious holy day – another one of those many European holi-days – this one is for when Jesus went to heaven. I thought he had already gone. Easter was only a practice run? But let's not go back. Kids live in the present and today is a present, the gift of now and it's a day off, but what to do? All the stores are closed, oy, this is serious. But luckily on my Child Feeler day yesterday, I was feelin' it and so strolled around town and saw a Goddess clothing store and I liked its original styles. (Hey, before you think what I think you're thinking, "studies" have shown that we know only a very small fraction of time what another is thinking, so get over the idea of ever being a mind reader). Some of my best performance outfits have come from XL clothes in women's vintage stores, and I am doing a "Green Man" thing with my Green Wisdom Cards at my Shaman Tarot weekend on a beautiful farm, with teepee, here in Holland. So, today on my play day, I am picking up my exotic, elegant new green outfit, custom made... I'm going to heaven, too. The best part of play and fun is having friends. My American dude singer friend, Don (Donyo for his likeness to Don Ho, oh he went to heaven, too) and his wife, Star from Germany are coming over from Frankfurt along with Jetz, Dutch Surinam singer. This party is shaping up. I better get over to the "coffee shop" to get ready. Ah, it's still early, I guess I'll get only the coffee. Now to reference another study, a longitudinal one, which means many years studying the same people, was about the brightest and best Harvard students (JF Kennedy vintage) and their lives. A third had mental "illness" bouts with booze being the major perpetrator. The jist of the study is that those who sustained the best for the longest and bestest life were those with the most friends!!!!! Sometimes, I think I could be a good hermit, but that's no fun! I am a "fun- damentalist," so in a way every day is a play day of connecting with friends (heaven is now and now I have to go get my green man resurrection threads... remember, the greening man never dies, he being the precursor to jesus and all the resurrection gods, osiris and the like).

FEELER (Child of Cups)

HOW AM I FEELING MY EMOTIONS TODAY?

My internet connection at the Catwalk. Cafe Wi-Fi place just went off! Oh no. Upset, quandry, worry, anxiety, oh no! I run to Edwin theowner, but instead of just screaming like a little petulant, spoiled child whose toys have been taken away, I breath, I temper my tantrum. But how will you cats ever read this if I don't get online. This is just so, so important. Oh no! Ah, go back to those "fortune principles" that have been empirically proven to work for those of you who want good "luck" and sustainable success. I apply the four principles, be open, it's an opportunity, stay positive and trust your intuition. Okay, I am doing that, and actually, instead of moaning and groaning, I am finding something else to do, like actually be creative in ways that I had not planned. Maybe the Child of Cups is instructive here. Kids may cry and scream, but then recover and usually quickly find another focus, another game, another toy.Instead of being the child with unfettered emotional expression, it's good sometimes to mediate and parent them (this is called "emotional intelligence"). But, but, but I don't want to completely censor my feelings. It's a delicate balance, particularly in certain kinds of situations. To feel and be whatever at the Catwalk is somewhat OK, but not when I am working with a vice-president of the prestigious Ernst and Young company. We are going back and forth about my presentation to some of their biggest clients. While the subject is to have a session with these clients that has a "bite," I think it's amusing and playful to ask the veep what kind of corporate animal he is (this is a thing I often do in corporate trainings – to have participants identify themselves as a beaver, butterfly, dolphin, owl or eagle – ). I felt this out... should I bring up this kind of animal zoo thing in an email when its serious, grave work to come up with an impactful ("biting") agenda? My inner child Feeler loves it! Of course, let's have some fun and "enlighten up." My responsible, inner Emperor archetype was not so much in favor of this. What to do? Remember, intuition is very specific to a particular situation, and actually I was emailing to the veep's assistant, an enormously bright, creative and naturally playful guy. To him, my intuition said, let the feelings come out. Had my email been to the veep, no way. It is a delicate balance that requires taking some time and "feeling out" the situation in a balanced, centered way.OK, I've filled up my time being creative and writing this as I wait for the router to work at the Catwalk. Oh no, it's still not working... I'll go for a walk.
